Well, I started writing this post yesterday afternoon, but the New Year festivities put a halt to that! Then I tried finishing it after midnight but I was a tad too sentimental and the reminiscing distracted me.
You can read my New Year rambling here if you don't mind sticking around a minute :)
Hope you rang in the New Year with people you love.
Last night when thinking about my resolution for 2014, I found this....
I thought this was very appropriate for day 3 of my Bloggy Birthday. Also, I think it might be the perfect message for this new year!
Now HERE is what you could win TODAY!
{woohoooo!}
Special thanks to the following cool and creative SLPs friends and one very talented artist!
1) From Jenn over at Straight Up Speech-who is just changed career track by taking the plunge into public school. Welcome to the school SLP club, Jenn! (She's also just an all around great person!) You can win her Winter Wonderland Open Ended Game Boards and Activities. I love a good open ended product!
2) From a bright, new blogger, Amy Beth at Speech-a-Saurus (who, by the way, might have the cutest blog EVER), you can win herArticulation and Phonemic Awareness Bundle!
3) Here's a twist....I'm so happy to have my friend IN REAL LIFE helping me celebrate my blog's birthday!
Did you know that Lauren from Busy Bee Speech and I work in the same district? Yep, we work (and live) just miles apart. As the only Spanish speaking SLP in our district, she swoops in to save the day when I need help assessing a Spanish speaking student. She gets the credit for encouraging me to dive into the blogging and Teachers Pay Teachers world. Thanks again, Lauren!!
No doubt you already know her stuff is fabulous, and you could win her Winter Worksheets and Homework Packet for Speech Therapy.
4) From Tracy over at Gold Country SLP you could win her Pocket for Corduroy Book Companion. It's 49 pages, y'all!! Oh, and did I mention Tracy has been an SLP for almost 30 years!?! She's got great tips on her blog to prove it! If I were wearing a hat, Tracy, I would most certainly tip it to YOU!
5) You could also win this awesome Winter Olympics Language Packet from Carly at Happily SLP. Seriously, I cannot wait to use this packet during the Olympics- it's got every language skill you can think of! Before she dove into TpT, Carly was one of my best and sweetest customers and happily SLP describes her perfectly!
6) Ready for another twist? How about some clipart!? I have a serious clipart addiction and Linda at MyClipArtStore is one of my very favorite clipart artists! She generously donated her precious Valentine Teddys. I visit her all the time on Etsy but you can also find her on TpT or at her website. She never fails to have fun, affordable and flawless clipart! Oh, and follow her on facebook for fantastic freebies and coupons!
7) Finally from me, you can win my Puppy Love Quick Drill. I have to say this may be my favorite quick drill yet. :) Thanks, Jenn Bell, for helping me name it! Do YOU do quick artic therapy? If not, you can read more about it here.
Good Luck, y'all!!
I'd like to see more materials for upper elementary, middle and high school.
ReplyDeleteWill do, Valerie! I actually have a good bit of materials for that population but I rarely post about my TpT products- I don't want my blog to become one big ad- but I will definitely do a post about the activities I do! Thanks for that great suggestion!

ReplyDeleteI love Linda's clipart, too! I have a bunch of her stuff wishlisted on Etsy :) Happy day 3 of your bloggy birthday!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Kari!! Your product will be on the giveaway tomorrow :))
DeleteHappy Bloggy Birthday! I really enjoyed your Thanksgiving post regarding what you were thankful for. In the New Year, I would like to see more products related to critical thinking skills and responding to text.
ReplyDeleteI love those products, too!! I will be doing more of those AND blogging about them. I love responding to text products as well. Thanks for the comment!
DeleteI agree with Valerie, I think some more materials for upper elementary/Jr high would be great! I feel like they kind of get the raw deal. There is a lot of fun/helpful stuff for lower elementary and high school, but the 4-8th graders are shorted. Not just by you, but in general. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah! I do have those but I have never featured them on my blog. I have a new one in the works right now- another featuring text messages!! Hope to finish it soon :) Appreciate the comment!
DeleteWhoops, I jumped the gun and left a blog post comment before I saw it was an option for an entry! Since my previous comment had nothing to do with what the entry asked, it looks like I can't follow directions.. Ha ha. My favorite posts from you last year were about coarticulation, how you set up / decorated your room (I still go back to it from time to time for inspiration!), and about doing push in services! :)
ReplyDeleteAwwww thanks, Kari, those are my favorites, too! I swear I think we must be kindred spirits.
DeleteI would like to see things for upper elementary, fluency, and lots of open-ended activities.
ReplyDeleteWill do!! Oh you know I love open ended actiivities! I don't usually blog about my products but I will have to start grouping them for upper elementary and telling more about them here. I work with an SLP who is an absolute fluency specialist so she usually steals the fluency kids from me- which is probably why I lack those materials- my products tend to match my caseload- but I will definitely try my hand at fluency activities!
DeleteLove reading about how you set up your therapy room.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lynda! I'm still setting up and re-setting up my room on a weekly basis lol
DeleteMaybe I should blog about how I organize things. Thanks for the inspiration!
Love your blog Mia. Keep doin' what you're doin'! :) I didn't realize you and Lauren worked together - awesome!
ReplyDeleteI have two requests: materials for the big guys, a.k.a. middle schoolers, (that's why I love your informational text packets) and the coarticulation "assessment" you were seeking. I would love to have access to that to compliment your coartic. materials. Happy New Year, Mia. You do great work and I appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Bloggy Birthday! Middle school would be great, like the others said. Thanks for all you do!
ReplyDeleteHappy Bloggy Birthday! Mia I love your products- they are simple to use, bright and colorful. I can always use them in multiple ways. I really like that flexibility. I always enjoy your posts about your products. I like being able to see how you use your products in therapy. That is inspirational! and keeps me caring about what I do. My favorite blog was about your technology conference and the technology your thought was worth sharing! Not all of us get to go to conferences we would like, so thank you for sharing your new finds.
ReplyDeleteAny shares on working on fluency with primary kids would be greatly appreciated! Love the quick drill activities, too! Happy Bloggy Birthday!!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see more voice and apraxia stuff.
ReplyDeleteI would love voice therapy and stuttering stuff as well and no color printable quick activities.
ReplyDeleteHappy Bloggy Birthday! I love reading your blogs and would love to hire you to come and decorate my room!! I love all of your materials and the colorful graphics! I really enjoy (and learn a lot from!) your non-fiction text activities. Thank you for all you do!!
ReplyDeleteInferencing activities for early elementary. Your products are of the highest quality and well developed! I am so glad our paths crossed and am so glad to call you a friend as well! Happy Bloggy Birthday Putting Words in Your Mouth!!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy blogiversary dear talented and sweet and smart Mia, happy blogiversary to you!!! Have a great 2014! Manda
ReplyDeleteWould love to see more social thinking/materials for the older population! Thanks for the awesome giveaways...love your blog!
